On November 9, the time had finally come: After a long journey, the new X-ray machine for Lion Heart Medical Center arrived in Yele. After a delayed voyage and a lengthy clearance process at Freetown Port, Yankuba Sesay was able to Delft Imaging transport to Yele. The coming weeks will be devoted to assembling the device and the associated solar cell system. When all this is in place, five Lion Heart employees will be trained to take X-rays in a safe and successful manner, by a team from Delft Imaging that will travel to Yele for this. We hope to make the first X-rays at the end of November.
