Over the past few months, the entire Lion Heart team has been working hard to prepare for the Safe Care Reassessment. In mid-November, exactly one year after the previous visit, we received two Ghanaian employees from PharmAccess to re-examine our hospital. In two days they tried to speak to as many employees as possible and get an idea of all departments. They were particularly pleased with the solar system and the new triage area, but also with many small improvements such as the working methods and mentality of the canteen employees. There was some disappointment that for many employees it feels like ticking boxes, without really understanding why certain changes are important. Hopefully, as a hospital, we can get even more out of the assessment in the long term, when more employees can work digitally and therefore have access to Safe Care's training and protocols.
