Reinier Hinse, chairman
Reinier has been involved with the hospital since mid-2016 and has been chairman of the board since the beginning of 2017. He brings experience in the field of strategy formation, organization development and change management.
Gerard Vesseur, treasurer
Since January 2024, Gerard has focused on finance and control of the Lion Heart Foundation. He is originally a chartered accountant and has built up extensive knowledge and experience, including as CFO. He has a great affinity with Africa and has been involved in projects there in various countries. Gerard has previously been treasurer of LHF for several years (until 2017) and has served on the LHF Audit Committee in recent years.
Truus de Ruiter, secretary.
Truus worked at the Groene Hart Hospital as an infection prevention expert. She has served for many years as secretary of organizations, including the professional association of infection prevention experts. She has also gained experience in Africa.
Suzanne Bouman , Board Member with the portfolio of HR/Organizational Development since July 15, 2022. Suzanne is a business economist specializing in International Management. She has been involved in change processes within prominent companies, often playing a leading role. She is currently working at an internationally operating pharmaceutical company and has gained particular experience in the diagnostics business unit.
In the Netherlands, Lion Heart is regularly supported by various volunteers with their knowledge and experience.
