This month the honor went to our surgical officer Mohamed Bangura. Mohamed has been working for Lion Heart Medical Center since early 2020 and has made a huge contribution to clinical care in the hospital since then. With his training in surgery and obstetrics through CapaCare, he is able to perform both emergency and scheduled surgical operations. Since his appointment, he has been responsible for an important part of the patient's income in the hospital by performing planned (inguinal hernia) operations. In the summer of 2020, Mohamed took final responsibility for patient care for a number of months during the absence of the expats due to Covid-19. He is not only a hardworking “surgeon” but also a committed colleague with a strong sense of justice and a heart for his patients. We hope to be able to work with Mohamed Bangura for a long time to come.
