A new face with a new title. With the arrival of Samuel, there is for the first time a student in LHMC who is in training to become a Clinical Health Assistant (CHA). That title is a small step below the Clinical Health Officer (CHO), which includes most of our clinicians. With a cheerful smile, Samuel walks with the CHOs and extends a helping hand wherever he can. He will be doing an XNUMX-month internship with us, during which he will learn the intricacies of the trade.
We immediately received another CHA student, but with a very familiar face: Alhassan is back! Alhassan worked for years in Yele as an OR nurse, after which he started further training on a Lion Heart scholarship. He has now completed the first theoretical year and it is time for an internship in his old, trusted hospital. On the left of the photo you see Alhassan and next to him Samuel.
In the meantime, our pediatric trainees Isha and Alimamy have completed their internship. They continue their training at the organization German Doctors and at other care locations in the country. On the occasion of the farewell, the staff organized a football match and a party, to which there was a lot of dancing. The party was also in honor of Abdul, the surgical trainee who recently completed his last internship with us. He passed his exams with flying colors and can now call himself SACHO! He came to Yele for a weekend especially for the occasion, so a Reunion and Goodbye party.
