Given the relatively high quality of care that we provide, people sometimes come from very far away to receive care here. From Freetown or even from neighboring countries Liberia and Guinea. Often these patients are able to pay a little more in exchange for some more comfort. Recently our hospital has two private rooms, which give the right to some privacy for an extra charge. Facility manager Moses Bangura has furnished the rooms with private shower (including Ikea curtain), toilet and fan. There is also room for a "caretaker" to stay in the room. The first patients are very pleased with these improvements
Through this initiative we generate a little more revenue and reduce dependence on donations from abroad, fully in line with our "transition to sustainability" strategy.
