From January 2022, Lion Heart will offer training places for pediatric CHOs (nursing specialists) in training. In addition to CapaCare's program that trains surgical nurse specialists in Sierra Leone, the organization German Doctors will start a similar program to have more experienced pediatric nurse specialists available in Sierra Leone in the future. Due to the presence of tropical doctors, the (temporary) presence of a pediatrician and the large number of admissions of children to hospital, Lion Heart was found suitable to take on part of the training for these future colleagues. The internship duration is 6 months and in the first 'round' two students will come to Yele.
