All staffers rolled up their sleeves for a general cleaning day! In a great team effort, they cleaned every little corner of the hospital. On these days you can see every department putting in a lot of energy, because every department wants to win. This time, Male Ward was awarded the cleanest department, CHO Sembu’s office won best clean office and several individuals won a little prize for their activeness on the cleaning day.
The Infection Prevention Committee organizes this exercise every 3 months “to remind us as healthcare providers that cleaning is not just limited to our cleaners, but it becomes more effective and safer when we are all involved”, says IPC chair Amara Musa. “The goal is to compliment the effort of our cleaners so that we can continue to live in a safer, cleaner and healthy environment. As the proverb goes: cleanliness is next to godliness.”
